    The Golden Touch

How was I supposed to know the Greek Gods are real? I wasn’t exactly taught that in school, but nonetheless I get lost in the woods and wind up in a God’s vineyard. While I was marching through the vineyard trying to find my way to the nearest road, two women made of vines escort, or rather drag, me to the main villa. I’m thrown down onto marble tile in front of a lounge chair with a large man, a woman and man draped on top of him. His purple smoking jacket showing basically all of his chest and stomach, though his grandiose beard actually blocking…

    Fantasy collection: Warlock

This set of drawings is also fits into the fantasy genre. This outfit was specifically inspired by a Critical Role character named Gilmore. I have some notes for color scribbled next to each design. The last image is of the character, Gilmore. admin

    Fantasy pirate

Hey, y’all, I finally finished coloring in the fantasy inspired pieces. As is evident, I used watercolor. That is the medium I am most comfortable in. The color of the undershirt got darker on the second half. I’m quite happy with how the robe/coat turned out. The color changes from lighter on top to darker towards the bottom, it goes from light blue to violet. admin

    Completed: Monarch

I finally put color to the sketch. After transferring the outline onto Bristol Board, I used watercolor to get the shades I wanted. I wanted the gown to have some areas look more transparent, so I decided watercolor was the way to go. I also used a thin-tipped sharpie to outline the ruffle of the skirt. Since I was specifically inspired by the monarch butterfly, I used that species’ typical colors. You can see the sketch to watercolor transformation below: admin

    Pajama Bottoms

I used some red and black flannel fabric to make my dad a pair of pajama shorts. Unfortunately, I did not have enough fabric for full length pants. I used a pattern I bought from Joann Fabrics, which is shown below. I didn’t bother making a mockup for the shorts, because of the fact that it is lounge wear and I’m using elastic for the waistband. They turned out pretty well! admin

    Fantasy

I’ve been watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix. That show along with some character art from The Arcana and general pirate costumes inspired the outfits below. I’m working on putting color to them. I really enjoy the colors and overall fit of Asra’s costume, he is a character from The Arcana. The third image and figure to the right was my reference point for my own creation of the robe. admin
